[Hida Region] 62nd Banryu Festival & Northern Alps Hida Side Opening Festival

The Chubu Sangaku National Park Northern Alps Hida Side Opening Festival "Banryu Festival" is an annual event that heralds the arrival of spring in this snow-covered region.
This opening festival is held to honor the achievements of "Banryu Shonin," who enshrined Buddhist statues on Mt. Yari and Mt. Kasa and opened both mountains, as well as to pray for the safety of the Northern Alps.
After the Shinto ceremony, local performing arts such as the "Tori-gei" and the lion dance "Henbetori" are dedicated.
