Details	Hirayu Otaki, listed among Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls (64m high, 6m wide). The waterfall, which flows down magnificently, transforms into a giant icicle with the arrival of the severe winter in late December. The majestic figure is illuminated, creating a fantastic world on winter nights. During the day, you can also feel the beauty of nature with the contrast of the grand icicles shining bluish-white and the snow. The suspension bridge over the Otakigawa River is also decorated with illuminations, creating an even more fantastic scenery. Events Snow Fireworks Date: February 15 (Thu) - 25 (Sun), every day during the event Launch Location: Around Hirayu Onsen Ski Resort Time: Around 8:30 PM (May be canceled due to bad weather or the launch time may vary depending on weather conditions.) Details: Fireworks will be launched in the clear air and under the starry sky. The best view is from within the ski resort. Nukutomari Bazaar Date: February 15 (Thu) - 25 (Sun), every day during the event Location: Hirayu Otaki Bazaar Venue Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Details: Zenzai and amazake (free) Free Shuttle Bus Service Period: February 15 (Thu) - 25 (Sun), every day during the event Location: Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal ⇔ Ankiya-mae Ice Festival Venue Entrance A dedicated shuttle bus (free) will operate between Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal and Ankiya-mae Ice Festival Venue Entrance during the illumination hours. ※ Departure from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal: First bus at 6:50 PM, last bus at 8:15 PM Departure from Ankiya-mae: Last bus at 9:15 PM ※ It takes about 25 minutes on foot from Ankiya-mae Ice Festival Entrance to the Otaki Venue. Please come with cold weather protection.
