[Hida Region] 63rd Banryu Festival & Northern Alps Hida Side Opening Festival

The Chubu Sangaku National Park Northern Alps Hida Side Opening Festival "Banryu Festival" is an annual event that heralds the arrival of spring in this snow-covered region.
This opening festival celebrates the achievements of "Banryu Shonin," who enshrined Buddhist statues on Mount Yari and Mount Kasa and opened both mountains, and is held in conjunction with prayers for the safety of the Northern Alps.
After the Shinto ceremony, local performing arts such as the "Tori-gei" and the lion dance "Henbetori" are dedicated.
